Salad with Pear, Dry-Cured Ham and Walnuts

Servings:

Ingredients

  • 100 g arugula
  • 1 ripe, soft pear
  • 100 g blue cheese e.g. lazur, gorgonzola (or brie, camembert)
  • 4 slices dry-cured, aged ham
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • sauce: 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, 2 teaspoons lemon juice, 1 tablespoon maple syrup, salt and pepper
  • optional: reduced balsamic vinegar

Preparation

  1. Arrange the washed, dried arugula in salad bowls. Peel the pear, cut into quarters, cut out the core, then slice the quarters about 1/2 cm thick, arrange on the arugula.
  2. Add diced cheese and ham cut into strips. Sprinkle with nuts.
  3. Mix the sauce ingredients, season with a bit of salt and freshly ground pepper, drizzle over the salad. It's also worth drizzling everything with reduced balsamic vinegar.
