Quick apple fritters
Ingredients
- 2 apples
- 200 ml milk (less than 1 cup)
- 1 egg
- 150 g (1 cup) wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- for frying: such as clarified butter, coconut oil, other vegetable oil
Preparation
- Sift flour into a bowl, add vanilla sugar, sugar and baking soda, mix.
- Add milk and egg and mix ingredients with a whisk into a smooth batter without lumps.
- Peel the apples, cut into quarters, remove the seed cavities, cut the quarters lengthwise in half and then into cross-wise slices. Add to the batter and mix.
- Spread approximately one tablespoon of batter and about 3 apple slices per 1 fritter onto heated fat on a skillet and fry for approximately 1.5 minutes until golden color. Flip to the other side and repeat frying.
- Serve with powdered sugar, cherry jam, etc.
