Ready herring, for example from oil, just drain, drizzle with vinegar and oil. If you have "raw" salted herring, you need to prepare it yourself - rinse in cold water, then drain the salty water and add fresh water. Repeat rinsing 2-3 more times until the herring is properly salted. Pat dry, drizzle with vinegar and oil.
Wash potatoes and cook in their skins in salted water. Drain and after cooling, peel. Finally, cut into cubes.
Mix sour cream with horseradish, season with pepper, spread on plates.
Add herring fillets along with the linseed oil, diced potatoes, sprinkle with chopped red onion (you can also use marinated onion from herring if you have it).
Season with freshly ground pepper, sprinkle with chives, and garnish with dill. Serve with lemon wedges.
