Ingredients

• 5 slices sandwich bread
• 4 eggs
• 100 ml milk
• 1 teaspoon sugar
• 2 tablespoons butter

to serve

• strawberries
• 250 ml thick sour cream 18%
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar (optional)
• powdered sugar (optional)

Preparation

1. In a deep plate, beat (with a fork or whisk) the eggs with milk and sugar.
2. Dip the bread slices in the egg mixture (pressing lightly so they absorb the mixture), then arrange them on the pan with hot butter.
3. Fry over medium heat until the bottom is golden, then flip to the other side and repeat frying.
4. Remove to a plate and serve with sliced strawberries, sweetened sour cream, and optionally with powdered sugar.
