Dill Soup with Meatballs

Dill Soup with Meatballs

Servings:

Ingredients

Meatballs

  • 250 g ground turkey or pork
  • 1/2 stale roll (e.g. Kaiser roll)
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped dill
  • 1 small egg
  • wheat flour

Dill soup

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 onion
  • 300 g potatoes
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 liter broth
  • pinch of turmeric
  • 1/2 bunch dill
  • 200 g sour cream 18% (homogenized, thick)

Preparation

  1. Soak the roll in milk or water, let soak for about 5 - 10 minutes. Squeeze out.
  2. In a bowl, combine the ground meat, grated onion, dill, egg, half a teaspoon of salt, a pinch of pepper, and the squeezed roll. If you ground the meat at home with a grinder with large or medium holes, you can grind the onion and soaked roll right away as well.
  3. Mix everything well by hand, then shape into small balls, roll them in flour, and quickly fry them in oil to a light golden color, place on a plate.
