In a medium-sized pot (no smaller than 3 liter capacity) on low heat, gently warm the milk until it is only slightly warm. Remove from heat, add butter cut into pieces and wait a moment until it starts to melt.
Add eggs to the milk with butter, crumble (or add) yeast, add sugar and stir with a hand mixer until ingredients combine.
Add flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt to the pot, then mix everything thoroughly until a smooth batter is formed. Cover the pot and set aside for approximately 1 and 1/2 hours until the batter rises several times in volume.
Spread the risen batter with a serving spoon onto a well-heated waffle iron. Fry the waffles until golden. Serve with jam, whipped cream and fruit.
