Ingredients

Sponge Cake

• 4 large eggs
• a pinch of salt
• 70 g sugar
• 100 g all-purpose flour
• 50 g potato starch

Whipped Cream

• 600 g 36% heavy cream (very cold)
• 1/2 glass powdered sugar
• 1 packet vanilla sugar or 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
• 1 tablespoon gelatin (plain food gelatin, not instant-set gelatin)
• 1/4 glass boiling water
• 1/4 glass milk

Also

• 500 g strawberries
• 2 packets strawberry jelly (gelatin dessert)
• about 1/3 glass of liquid for soaking the sponge, e.g. Malibu mixed half and half with water and a little lemon juice, or weak tea with lemon

Preparation

1. First prepare the jelly (according to the package instructions, using 1/2 glass less water than called for in total). Set aside to cool.
2. Grease a baking pan measuring 22 x 33 cm at the base with butter and line with parchment paper.
